I have been around multilevel marketing for the better part of my life. My parents are in the multilevel marketing business. They built quite a successful business and it was all done by building relationships first and then selling the product. In today’s world it is a little more difficult to do MLM the old style way. The old style way is great and has its uses but with the global internet community there is so much more opportunity to succeed.
The first thing to do is get into the right state of mind. Stop thinking about making a lot of money fast; none of that thinking about getting just two more in your down line etc. Remember you want to build long and lasting relationships. You can achieve this by helping others reach their goals. You will want to learn for yourself all the significant tools and materials out there about your business and about what software is out there to help your mlm reach its full potential. Use your own situation as a coaching tool. Describe your struggles and what you had to do to overcome them. Be assertive, free and open with your guidance.
Second, while the time spent away from home prospecting and trying to generate leads are going to be a thing of the past you still need to remember that this will still be be work. You can’t take the “people” aspect out of an of an MLM business. You will need to spend time getting in contact with and talking to your leads over the internet, through e-mail and/or on the telephone. You will need to work generating leads with however you have decided to market yourself online. You pick your pace and you pick your style and be confident in what you do. Foucus and hone in on what ever method you choose. What’s so great about bringing your mlm online is you will learn how to connect with people and build lasting relationships; the foundation of your business. And it just plan fun!
Third learn how to use the Internet. There are automated systems out there that can help you dominate the web and funnel more leads than you thought possible into your business. Use the internet to connect with people with sites such as linked in, facebook, my space and twitter and other social networks. Setup a blog and start writing about your business. Something that is even more powerful is be sure to tell personal stories. Write articles and post them to all relevant article directories and other sources. Set up a sales funnel that will allow you to introduce your affiliate web sites with training material and tools as well as your main business opportunity, in doing so you have two chances to generate leads multiplied by however many articles of information you have produced. Remember the more articles and information that you have out there the more sources you have pointing back to your main web site.
You can triumph in what ever your mlm opportunity your in. You can help others to succeed. You can educate yourself. You can be yourself and build relationships that will take you to the next level. Change your mind set, use the internet, educate yourself and be prepared to work hard. Once you set up your funnel you can spend more time connecting with new leads, building a business and spending time with your family.

The first time I heard of LinkedIn I thought, what in the world is LinkedIn? If you’re reading this article then you thought the same thing I did. On the surface it is a social networking site where professionals can get together and exchange information and ideas. Deeper than that, it can become the lifeblood to your success.
The first time I ever saw LinkedIn I got an e-mail invitation from a friend of mine. I thought the e-mail was a mistake, I had never heard of LinkedIn. So I looked on the web for some more information. Wikipedia’s definition is: a business – oriented social networking site founded in December 2002 and launched in May 2003 mainly used for professional networking; as of October 2009, it had more than 48,000,000 registered users spanning more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. After reading that I decided it was reputable, so I joined and that was it. I did not understand what else to do, so I did not do any more and left my account as it was.
I became interested in a program called MLM Lead System Pro, an online marketing system that helps struggling network marketers finally get results by teaching marketing skills. We listened in on one of their weekly webinars as a guest. The guest speaker was Larry Beacham. Within moments my eyes were opened. Larry Beacham’s success came by writing good articles with informative content that other people found valuable and helpful. This allows you to become a problem solver; in being able to articulate what you have learned, helpful tips and reviews on what you’ve read you help other people find solutions to the problems they have been facing.
If the content of your articles is good enough people will leave comments. When they leave their comments they are placing value on what you have written. When they do this be sure to thank them for their thoughts and ask them to connect with you on the group. After connecting in the group, make sure to keep in contact by finding out more about their personal situation and how you can specifically help them. You can then base your future contact and helpful tips and information on what you’ve learned by connecting with them personally. Remember you are not promoting your business yet; you’re promoting yourself and what you have learned. You’re promoting what you have to offer people that can help them succeed. Others on LinkedIn are also putting out information about what they have learned; so don’t forget to read their work and comment on their articles as well.

Generating lots of leads seems a tough thing to do but with the right training, elbow grease and system it’s not as big a challenge as it seems.
