Can you make money with an MLM Network Marketing Opportunity? The first thing I have to say about that is, yes but it isn’t easy.  Anybody that tells you any different is blowing smoke up your you know what! You can quickly become disillusioned and end up saying the heck with it. Or as I heard a quote, “I am about to commit network marketing suicide;” in other words, to be fed up and done with the whole industry all together. This is why it is important to understand yourself enough to know what you want and to be able to find out what fits you. Take the time and research the company you are in or thinking of joining carefully before committing. In the mean time it gives more time to further your education if the network marketing industry is appealing to you.

Let me first touch on the network marketing opportunity. If the company you might be looking at is new or “on the ground floor” it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best thing to get into. I would look at whether or not the product has the same thing going for it as 20 other network marketing companies have. Or maybe it has competition outside the MLM industry that has almost the same product but for less money. Some of these opportunities have too high of prices for their MLM businesses and make it hard for a small business owner to make a profit from the sales of products, especially someone just starting out.

Some MLM opportunities may have been around for a long time witch can be good or bad. Do some research on the MLM network marketing opportunity you are looking at. Check the reputation of not only the company but the products as well. When you make your initial investment you should know what you are getting into and not just be driven by emotion. Knowing your investment is very important and that investment should have real value attached to it.

Ok, the next obstacle, marketing and developing your marketing skills. This is going to depend on your skills and what interests you. Getting people to buy your products and your opportunity is obviously the biggest challenge. There are many ways to market yourself online and offline; do not rule either one out. Most of us do not have the money to spend on pay per click and other advertising methods that cost big bucks. A person who needs a more affordable way to their marketing and advertising may find that using the free and affordable alternatives offered by the Internet are the way to go.

There are many different methods to marketing online; if you are unfamiliar with any of them I will list a few. There are things like social networking; for example, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. I will say there are certain methods in doing this properly, but with the proper training you can make great connections with any one of these outlets. There are also methods like blogging, article and video marketing, just to name a few. One way or the other you need to get out there and make yourself known and provide value to others.

Once you start to develop leads and start recruiting people into your MLM opportunity you need to spend time with them. This will help you to create a solid foundation of qualified people. When people feel they have support and that their up-line is concerned about their success and growth, they will stay motivated and continue moving forward.

Personal education is a necessity when becoming a leader. You gain knowledge and are able to pass that on. This brings value for your downline and prospects. Part of maintaining momentum requires an investment of time in helping your team to achieve success and grow themselves as leaders.

There is a cost of time and money when getting involved in any MLM network marketing opportunity. It is not completely free; there is an investment with time and money. Early on and through out your endeavor you will need to educate yourself so you can provide value to your team and downline.

An MLM can provide you with the kind of wealth that you want but you need to understand that your success depends on you. It depends on your skill level and the time and effort you invest. The investment that you make initially whether time or money, will be returned and multiplied; but you will need to make it in order to secure your future success.
